MTV’s correspondent in Washington reported that the White House confirmed there is no protocol-related reason preventing media presence during the dinner between US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. 

However, due to the sensitivity of the issues on the table, with the escalation in the Middle East topping the agenda, the decision was made to hold the meeting behind closed doors to allow for a deeper and more flexible discussion away from the spotlight.
